On the 27th of February at English Playschool Moscow, we held an ‘Alice and Wonderland Day’ for all the pupils in grades 2 and 3. We started with an interactive presentation and workshop discussing the life and works of Lewis Carroll. Afterwards, we played games based on Alice and her adventures with prizes being awarded to the winning teams. The highlight of the event was a performance from our students with their interpretation of ‘the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’, which was followed by riddles and poetry exercises taken from the book itself. The day concluded with a cinematic treat, with teasers from both the original Disney animation and the 2016 Tim Burton remake. Overall, a highly successful and enjoyable day for all those involved and we look forward to more literature days coming our way soon.
